Renovation of Computer Classroom in the “Observatoriya” Children’s TB Sanatorium

09.10.2009, Computer classrooms

A computer classroom is not just about good equipment. It's also about bright and convenient premises that are comfortable for studying, working and relaxing in. So my Foundation had to start by renovating the room that had been set aside for the computer classroom in the school at the “Observatoriya” TB sanatorium (Oktyabrskiy Village, Zelenodolsk District, Republic of Tatarstan)

The renovation work is now almost finished: they've installed ventilation and a new heating system, they've fitted sockets, repaired and painted the walls and ceiling, and installed double glazing and a new door. The classroom still needs to be equipped with furniture and the computers installed. The furniture and computers for “Observatoriya” and the “Selet” arts centre in Apastovo District have already been purchased, and I hope all the young kids will be enjoying the new computer facilities by late October — early November.

You can see for yourselves from the photographs how the renovation work went and what changes they made:

Alina Kabaeva Charity Fund

My charity foundation has already existed for several years. At first it focused mainly on sport, but then I realized I couldn’t restrict myself to just one area of activity. So today the foundation is active in several fields.

Each of the foundation’s projects and specific activity is a matter of prime importance for me. In this section I will write about what the foundation does, which projects it is running today and what we have managed to achieve.
