As the 2009 exam season approaches we’ve started thinking about how to run the 2009 CSE hotline. Nobody had any doubts about the need to do it, but we wanted to make it better. Back in 2008, the experts who worked on the line suggested we could provide advice via the Internet. So what we decided was that we’d launch the CSE hotline at the beginning of April, starting with advice by e-mail, and then later, in May, add the telephone line.
From 7 April to 16 June advice was available from the hotline via e-mail at ege@kabaeva-alina.ru, and from 21 May to 16 June – by telephone on call-free number 8-800-505-12-05. As the 16th of June approached there was no let-up in the number of calls. And a lot of people had asked us to keep the hotline open, so we decided to extend it for one week, to 22 June 2009.
This year the hotline really was “hot”. Our consultants received over 27,000 calls from every region of Russia, as well as more than 2,000 questions by e-mail. If you have any wishes, feedback or ideas on the hotline, please send them to me at the website.
My charity foundation has already existed for several years. At first it focused mainly on sport, but then I realized I couldn’t restrict myself to just one area of activity. So today the foundation is active in several fields.
Each of the foundation’s projects and specific activity is a matter of prime importance for me. In this section I will write about what the foundation does, which projects it is running today and what we have managed to achieve.
