Alina Kabaeva, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Youth Affairs Committee, has acted as the moderator of a meeting between Aleksey Fursenko, the Minister of Education and Science, and participants in the 4th All-Russian Student Forum in Altay State University.

During the meeting the students asked the minister about educational reform in Russia and discussed issues including the transition to a BA-MA system, the unified state examination, the test-based system for assessing knowledge, allocation of stipends and grants, student accommodation and jobs. The participants also put forward their own proposals on how to develop Russia’s education system.  

4th all-Russian Student Forum

The 4th All-Russian Student Forum, which was timed to coincide with the International Day of Student Solidarity, took place from 31st October to 3rd November 2011 at Altay State University and other higher educational institutions in the city of Barnaul in Altay Territory.

The Forum was initiated by Russian public youth organizations – members of the Russian People’s Front youth club, and was held with the support of the RF Ministry of Education and Science, the RF Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy and the Government of Altay Territory.
