Alina Organizes Forum of Youth Journalists’ School Graduates
A meeting of graduates of the Young Journalists’ School from the past three years was held in St.Petersburg from 24th to 26th November. Over 200 young journalists from all over Russia, as well as Ukraine and Kazakhstan, took part.

The forum’s key objective was to develop a pilot version of the Young Journalists’ School online digest. The young journalists were assisted in this by the School’s experts, including the well-known media figures Daniil Dondurey, Aleksey Abakumov, Irina Varlamova, Darya Miloslavskaya and Natalya Ivanova.

The forum also included a meeting for School graduates with Maksim Shevchenko, the well-known journalist and expert on ethno-cultural issues and religious policy.

Information on the Young Journalists’ School

The young Journalists’ School is an education and public information project that was initiated by Alina Kabaeva in 2009 during Youth Year and funded by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. Since 2010, it has been run by the Alina Kabaeva Charity Foundation.

Each year the School runs a cycle of workshops for 100 young journalists from various regions of Russia. The journalists are selected on a competitive basis.
